Our Promise

FlirtBirds is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants. This Code of Conduct applies to all our events, online communications, and interactions related to FlirtBirds.

1. Core Values

1.1 Respect

  • Treat all participants with respect and dignity
  • Accept a “no” without questioning or pressure
  • Respect personal boundaries and privacy
  • Listen actively and let others finish speaking

1.2 Honesty

  • Provide truthful information about yourself
  • Do not misrepresent your identity or relationship status
  • Be authentic in your interactions

1.3 Inclusion

  • Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated
  • We celebrate diversity in all its forms
  • Everyone is welcome, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, background, religion, or disability

2. Expected Behaviour

2.1 At Events

DO:

  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Dress appropriately for the event
  • Participate actively and be open to new encounters
  • Keep conversations positive and engaging
  • Respect others’ privacy (no unwanted photos)
  • Drink responsibly
  • Alert the team if you experience or witness any problems or concerns

DON’T:

  • Arrive under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol
  • Use offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language
  • Pressure anyone for personal information or contact details
  • Disrupt the event or other participants
  • Spread negative rumours about others

2.2 Online and in Communications

  • Respect the privacy of other participants
  • Do not share others’ personal information without their consent
  • Use FlirtBirds communication channels responsibly
  • Do not send unsolicited or inappropriate messages

3. Prohibited Behaviour

3.1 Zero-Tolerance Policy

FlirtBirds does NOT tolerate the following behaviour:

Harassment and boundary violations:

  • Sexual harassment of any kind
  • Unwanted physical contact
  • Suggestive comments or gestures
  • Stalking or following
  • Repeated contact after rejection

Discrimination:

  • Racist, sexist, or otherwise discriminatory statements
  • Hate speech or denigration based on characteristics such as gender, background, religion, sexual orientation, age, or disability

Violence and threats:

  • Any form of physical violence
  • Verbal threats or intimidation
  • Aggressive or violent behaviour

Fraud and deception:

  • Misrepresenting your identity
  • Concealing relationship status with deceptive intent
  • Commercial exploitation (e.g. MLM schemes, unsolicited sales pitches)

Inappropriate behaviour:

  • Excessive alcohol or drug consumption
  • Disruption of the event
  • Disregarding instructions from the FlirtBirds team

4.1 Principles

  • Consent is voluntary: A genuine “yes” is enthusiastic and free from pressure
  • Consent is specific: Agreement to one thing does not mean agreement to everything
  • Consent is revocable: Anyone can withdraw their consent at any time
  • Consent requires capacity: A person under the influence of alcohol or drugs cannot give meaningful consent

4.2 In Practice

  • Always ask for permission before touching someone
  • Accept a “no” immediately and without discussion
  • Pay attention to non-verbal signals (body language, discomfort)
  • When in doubt: ask!

5. Safety and Wellbeing

5.1 Your Safety

  • Meet for the first time in public places
  • Let a trusted person know your plans
  • Trust your instincts
  • You are never obligated to stay if you feel uncomfortable

5.2 Alcohol and Drugs

  • Drink responsibly
  • Never leave your drink unattended
  • If you suspect drink-spiking: alert staff or the FlirtBirds team immediately
  • Do not use drugs – violations result in immediate exclusion

6. Reporting Violations

6.1 How to Report a Problem

If you witness a violation or are affected yourself:

During the event:

  • Approach a member of the FlirtBirds team immediately (identifiable by FlirtBirds T-shirts)
  • Use the emergency contact: +41789213046

After the event:

  • Email: hello@flirtbirds.app
  • All reports are treated confidentially

6.2 What Happens After a Report?

  1. Immediate action: In the case of serious violations, the person concerned will be removed from the event immediately
  2. Investigation: Every report is taken seriously and investigated
  3. Measures: Depending on the severity of the violation:
    • Warning
    • Temporary ban from events
    • Permanent ban
    • For criminal offences: involvement of the police

6.3 Anonymous Reports

You may also report violations anonymously. However, with anonymous reports we may not always be able to follow up fully or provide feedback.

7. Consequences of Violations

7.1 Escalation Levels

Level 1 – Warning:

  • For minor violations or first-time misconduct
  • Documented warning

Level 2 – Temporary Ban:

  • For repeated or moderate violations
  • Exclusion for 3–6 months

Level 3 – Permanent Ban:

  • For serious or repeated violations
  • Lifetime exclusion from all FlirtBirds events
  • No refund of tickets already purchased

Criminal prosecution:

  • For criminal offences, we cooperate with the relevant authorities

7.2 No Refunds

Participants excluded due to violations of this Code of Conduct are not entitled to a refund of any amounts already paid.

10. Acknowledgement

By participating in FlirtBirds events or using our services, you confirm that you:

  • Have read and understood this Code of Conduct
  • Agree to abide by all rules set out herein
  • Accept the consequences in the event of violations

11. Changes

We reserve the right to update this Code of Conduct as needed. Changes will be published on our website and take effect immediately.
